92 pickup 4x4 steering parts interchangable with ???

Jacked up the steering this weekend burying the truck in the snow and trying to jerk it out. The steering knuckle ripped, yes ripped!! and the idler arm snapped in two. The wheels now are completely facing opposite ways and and towed in badly. Any and everything could be bent in the steering linkage so i am going to try to find a donor vehicle and but the whole setup knuckle to knuckle and up to the pitman arm.

My question is what are suitable donor vehicles. My truck is 92 4x4 ex cab with 3.0. I assume all similar year 4-runners would work. What about 4x2 vehicles? same parts? Can i go into 80's models or did steering change in 90?

Thanks!!!

2WD 4Runners use the same steering components as 4WD too.

2WD trucks use way different steering parts however.

Hey sorry to doubt but I found an 86 4x4 pickup that has all the parts.

I punched in ties rod ends, pitman arm, idler arm, etc. into autozone website parts online thingie and I get the same part number for 1986 and 1992 toy trucks.

Not to insult, but are you guys sure about only post 1989 truck being compatible?

I gotta ask... what did you try to strap to on the truck to cause this?

What you cant see in the pictures is a metal pipe that is layed horizontal right under the snow line to keep people out of a small creek just under it, when there is no snow. There is no going forward at all. Not even 1 foot. We were trying turn around but buried instead. Only option without a winch, was to pull sideways. We had to walk out 6.5 miles and soaking wet and leave it and come back next day with a winch, and used a tree as a pulley to pull the truck straight back then over.
