'92 has no power
MJ 1992 4runner with the V6 has zero power. Lugs along and struggles to make it up to 55. Here's the ironic thing. The check engine light comes on intermittently for a few minutes, but I have yet to have it on at my house where I can throw a code reader on it. I have replaced the plugs, wires, rotor and cap to no avail.
Any thoughts on what to check next? Now it does have an ancient fuel filter that I have not got to yet, but would that affect it that much?
Thanks in advance for the tips.
On Edit.
Let me expand on the symptoms. Run a bit choppy at idle. Runs really rough between 1500 and 2000 rpms. Runs fine above that but struggles to make it up hills.
TPS? Not sure where to go from here.

I have not been home yet to check the codes, but I thought of more symptoms I left out of my original post.
The mileage has gone to heck, maybe 13mpg from 17 or 18.
The light comes on much more frequently when it's raining.

I think that before you worry about the lean and rich codes, concentrate on the ignition signal code since erratic ignition can cause both rich and lean conditions as the ECU responds to the misfiring and the feedback from the O2 sensor.
So, check that the plugs from/to the distributor as well as all the plugs to/from the igniter module are clean, dry, and the terminals are fully seated in the plugs.

Same problem here on my 1993 22re pickup. It has no power until it reaches around 3000 rpms or until I push the gas pedal to the carpet. I have another thread going on toyotanation forums, but no answer there yet. I'm thinking of going out and unplugging my o2 sensor, to see what happens with it completely eliminated. If it doesn't change the way it runs when I disconnect the o2 sensor, then I found the problem, right? Is that a valid test?

Another thing to ponder.
Earlier this week I got 12mpg. Yesterday it went up to 17mpg and the check engine light is not going off. Threw a code reader on it an still getting the same 3 codes. The misfiring code could be old, prior to me swapping out the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor.

Sorry folks. I was distracted by some shiny objects.
I cleared all of the codes a few weeks ago just to make sure that the ignition issue is gone. It is.
I am now getting just codes 25 and 26, runs rich and runs lean. I am putting a new O2 sensor in tomorrow.
Anyone have any other possible causes I should ponder?

Just kickin these ideas out there....some oddballs ones.
The CAT is blocked or partial blocked....I've seen a few V6s block theirs up.
A mouse house has been built in the airbox restricting airflow.
Coil/igniter is weak

Good lord!
I put the new O2 sensor in and it was like night and day. The idle was smooth and I took it for a 5 mile ride up some hills. Plenty of power. Well, not plenty as it is a bit of a dog, but certainly more power.
I cleared the codes and I am taking out for a 40 mile drive this afternoon. With any luck, problem solved.
