Hey i got a 92 4runner with the 3.0, it takes 5 or 6 times of turning it over to get it to start.(temp has been 30 to 40 lately)

I checked the cold start injector, pulled it out and it sprays good while im cranking it over.

Checked the intake tube for air leaks and found it was cracked so i replaced it.

I have not replaced the cold start injector timer cause i dont know where it would be located.

After it gets started you can shut it off and it starts fine everytime even if its not fully warmed up.

Any input would be appreciated, im getting a headache from lookin at the screen for so long!!

Sounds like your battery terminals and cable connectors need cleaned. The cold will cause the battery to lose volts/charge, that coupled with the added resistance at the terminals/cable connectors caused by corrosion will result in a weaker spark. Making starting difficlt. The reason it starts right up after being run is because the battery has just been freshly recharged, thus relatively more voltage encounters the excessive resistance at the terminals/connectors. And a relatively higher amount of voltage is then able to make its way to the spark plugs. Hence a relatively stronger spark, and much easier starting.

there all new terminals and new battery, new ground straps between the body frame and block, it turns over plenty fast, had a tune up a few weeks back, sometimes it will start on the first time but it stumbles real bad
