Question 92 4runner engine in a 88 p.u new here!!!

Hey there,
I just registered here and plan on being a long time member. I am mechanically inclined and love vehicles. I usually stick to the Chev. V-8 4x4 but have recently seen the light on the Yotas. I Just sold a 66fj40 that i restored and got $11,500. I have some cash burning a hole in my pocket. ANYWAY,, I found a VIRGIN no rust no dents 133K miles 88 toyota p.u with the v-6. The seller said he just put in a 129K miles 4-runner engine. He said the engine oil lighgt comes on. He said it is a different sensor and thats why the light is on? I looked and a 88 and a 92 take different sensors. Is this why the engine oil light is on or is the engine ready to go. He said it runs smooth and doesnt make noise? What do you recomend I do!!! THANKS A lOT!!!!!

If a light comes on in the cluster... something's wrong.
put a pressure gauge in the system and measure the actual pressure.
should be at least 5psi (more like 7) at idle.
