Rear main obviously will have oil leaking all around it and bell housing. Area. It's easy to change when the trans is out, BUT it sits in an aluminum housing (you'll see it when u get there) and it's the housing that is also not only bolted to engine block but also through the oil pan lip. Removing it will most likely disturb the oil pan gasket and create another nasty leak that's a huge PITA to change w.o pulling the engine.

Biggest socket is mby a 19mm for rotating the engine to get tq converter bolts, or use a prybar to rotate it. Standard tools will work, nothing special needed.
