I need some help with an issue on a friend/neighbors 92 3.0 V6 4runner 5spd that i find myself fixing parts on more than him driving it. lol

It's been having this issue lately where when you drive the truck it'll randomly start bogging down almost like it's running out of gas... When it does this, no matter what gear you put it in, it'll pop and decelerate to the point you're slowing down to a dead stop.

All you have to do to get it to stop is turn off the key and start it back up.. and it'll run fine untill it does it again.

He's been throwing parts at it and having me put them on. I've replaced the fuel filter, plugs, wires, dist cap, rotor and ICM.

Finally i convinced him to take it to a professional and they told him it was the distributor. They also checked the fuel pressure and it's at 46PSI (i read stock was 42-45) I replaced the distributor today and still didn't fix the problem.

Anyone ever had a similar issue? I'm not too knowledgeable in toyotas, i've owned chevy's and jeeps my whole life. Any help is appreciated!
