91 pickup engine issues
I recently bought a 91 pickup, and when I test drove it everything seem fine. Well now it's giving me an issue. It seems that sometimes the truck just won't go. I'll have it in 2nd gear and it just won't accelerate. Like it isn't firing on all cylinders or something. Then other time she drives just fine. It seems that it happens more when I first start my drive, then once I drive for a few miles it'll quit. Has anyone had this happen? Should I replace the distributor, wires, and plugs? Would that be a good place to start?

Since you just bought the truck and really no idea of what was done to the truck in the past, I would start with a complete tune up with factory parts. I have seen issues from a needed tune up. I would start with air, fuel, oil filter, plugs, wire, cap, rotor, and plugs. Change all fluids. Then I would go with setting valves and timing.
You don't say which motor you have but the EGR causes a lot of carbon build up so would look into cleaning the intake system. Cleaning the sensors would not hurt anything and making sure all vacuum lines are in great shape and in routed correctly.
You get all of the above things take care of which is just basic maintenance and most likely been ignored, I would bet your issues will go away. Welcome to Yotatech.
