91 22re hard start when warm
Hey all, My beloved 91 22re has recently started having trouble starting when warmed up. When cold it cranks right up, but when warm I have to put the pedal to the floor and hold it there to get it to start, then it starts up and runs well. I havent had any time off when it it daylight to look at it yet, I changed the fuel filter and gave it a real quick look the other day on my lunch and didnt see anything obvious. Im hoping to have a day off next week and would appreciate any suggestions as to what to look for. Thanks.

Mine was having a similar problem. It started missing eventually and I finally found the injectors were clogged. They have a very fine screen in them. After a good cleaning the skip and warm start problem were fixed.

Awesome, thanks a lot guys. I put new plugs in and that fixed it (for now). I should probably clean my injectors soon, and I didnt even know about the cold start injector. Im glad to know about that living up here.
Thanks again

oh be prepared to put new o-rings that goaround your injector's i think 4 of them will run you about 14 bucks at toyota.. if i can remeber right thats the only place where i could find those thick rubber o-rings.. kinda pricey but, but it you want it now you will pay for now prices.. a can of the that seafoam will do some wonders for your engine look in to getting a can of it.
