89 toyota pickup speedometer broke in 2 pieces
hello all, i recently was given an 1989 toyota pickup 2wd base model (no a/c, no power steering) my question is the speedometer needle itself is broke, i can see the broken off piece inside the "glass" laying there, is it possible to purchase a new gauge cluster, but only swap out the needles? i believe it has the speedometer cable, if that helps at all. Another speedometer issue that im having is after i shift into to 2nd gear it sounds like a whining noise coming from the dash, now from what ive read online the speedo might need lubrication and/or cable be replaced, but what is the kind of lube to use? is it something i can buy at autozone? or am i going to have to go through a toyota dealer?
thanks for the help!

I have seen a thread on here about lubing up the speedometer cable. I have taken another guage and with a good needle in the past and move it over. Take two screwdrivers and gently lift at the center of the shaft to remove it. They are brittle!!!
