89-95 with newer factory wheels
hello all,
looking for wheel alternatives for my '92 xtra cab - i've seen a few ads for FJ Cruiser alloys at relatively reasonable prices lately and i'm wondering a) what else fits on my truck and b) what looks good.
i'm not looking for bling here but trying to take advantage of potential deals on newish take-offs over dropping cash for new tires.
in short, if you got a rig running newer factory alloys or steelies, let's see them. also if you know what fits (i'm thinking Tundras, FJs, Land Cruisers, Tacomas, 4runners and whatever else factory may fit). thanks

still, there's always something that can be done and, worse comes to worse, we can run them without the caps up front like JShaffer.

Well, for the last year I ran these, off a 97 4Runner
Then I picked these up 2 weeks ago, off of a 2000 4Runner
Nice thing with those, you can find centercaps that were made for manual hubs (the Tacomas with the first style of rims had em)
The first style came in a 15" and 16", the second style I believe are only 16"

What size tire were you running with the 1st ones? One more question... I think I asked you this on another thread- If I switch from 15" to 16" wheels are there any modifications that need to be done? Thank you!

I haven't read it anywhere, just looking at rims on rigs as I walk by them, I noticed the trend with that first style of rim (Tacoma vs. 4runner). But the reason I know they came in both sizes for sure is I have had both sizes. I know awilson013 has the 15's of those rims currently and I had the 16's, after I traded up since the 15's had stock tires, the 16's had 31's

Thanks! Took a while to find em, but got off a couple on CL for $210. Not too bad, I have seen folks selling the 1st gen sr5 alloys for that price, so I'm not complaining.
