89 4Runner

Hey guys, I am going to look at this 89 4Runner, what should I look out for? I know I will ask the guy about who rebuilt the motor and look at the receipt and then where should I look closely for rust?

1989 Toyota 4 Runner Deluxe 22RE with less than 30 miles on professionally rebuilt engine. Body very good with 2 inch lift. 456 gear ratio, American Racing rims with new BFG KOs 32/1050. Manual windows and doors, top never leaked, air conditioner is very cold, Wet Okole front seat covers. Really great all-purpose, hunting, or off-road vehicle.

Here are a couple of pictures.

Beautiful rig, no doubt.
Find out what, exactly, was rebuilt, replaced, etc. At 30 miles it has not been broken in yet. Is there a transferable warranty included? That's your 1st priority.
Look for rust damage around the rocker panels, wheel wells, frame rails, the floor pan and lower tailgate.
What are they asking for it?
Good luck.

He is asking $4300. Seems a little highto me, the body has 190,000 miles, and if the transmission has never been rebuilt, then it has that many miles.

both my 22re have over 220 000kms and tranny and tcases are strong as ever,,

check warrenty if its transferable and look underneath for rust,, and holes in frame.. also fenders rot out and the back window rots... make sure it ridsgood and the 22re is a strong motor so you should be ok.
