I had mine re-built at Wichhunter. I didn't want to spend the money for new one's either.

$800 for a set of injectors 88 or not is a rip-off. I don't even think dealers charge that much. OEM injectors from OEM parts suppliers online run roughly $140-$150 a piece. And aftermarkets at autozone run about the same. Keep in mind 88 is the only year you can use. You can always have them sent off to witchhunter to have cleaned/rebuilt much cheaper then buying remanned or new. And you would probably wait just the same amount of time for a set to be shipped to you.

this is my only means of transportation though so if i sent them off to get rebuilt i will be out of one for like a week and that would suck.

also i was wondering what seemed like a resonable price to remove and install the injectors my mechanic said it was gonna be around 200-300 bucks i know that taking the upper intake manifold off is a pain so i was just wondering if this sounded reasonable

I bought a matched set from these guys over a year ago, and have no complaints. They will send you the set with a return voucher to send in the cores. This way, your truck is drivable in the meantime. Killer no BS warranty also.
