88 pickup 22re surging
Need Help! I have an 88 Toyota 2wd pickup with the 22re engine. It has a new head gasket, head has been resurfaced, new timing chain, tensioner, guides, new fuel filter, and different throttle position sensor (etc). The truck runs great but when you hold the throttle down it begins to surge. I have tried everything I can think of. Anyone know anything else to do??

I'm researching this problem for my truck now. I would start but making sure the ciikabt lines to the throttle body are vkear of debris. Then make sure the coolant doesn't have a bubble by burping the system. Put nose up in the sir to make the radiators the highest point in the cooling system and let it run with the cap off. It will take a while and pour some coolant out but keep adding coolant ad it drops. That should solve and bubbles. Also make sure your TPS is working and installed correctly.

Thanks and we have burped it and ran it with the cap on. The radiator looks to be workin perfect. We also tried a different TPS one of my buddies had. It made a difference but still surges. So I'm thinkin it's some little sensor or somethin
