'87 Pickup Dash and Parking lights won't go off
Yay, a fun electrical problem. Drove to work this morning, when I parked I noticed that the parking lights and dash lights were on. The stork/switch is in the off position for everything. I can move it freely and turn on headlights, brights, left and right turn signals work, however when I turn switch back to the off position and put the stork in the middle so that is not activating left or right singals... The dash lights and parking lights are on constantly. Disconnected the battery and headed to my desk for the day. Guessing it's a problem with the stork or a short somewhere. Any ideas on where I should start troubleshooting?

Possibly some help
Hello, I have an 87 pickup as well and experienced some problems with my lights flickering off while driving with them on. I noticed they would flicker when I touched the left side stick slightly and potholes also would cause a flicker. Ultimately I popped off the steering wheel and pulled off the combination switch. I carefully took apart the right side - and cleaned very well and put back together. I suggest pulling your combination switch and at least cleaning it and inspect it for damage or wire shorts. It might also be the end of the stick the could be the problem as well - had a buddy whose parking lights would turn on but not the headlights - ended up being corrosion on the connector in the end of the knob but he broke the knob when taking it off and had to replace the combo switch.
I actually have an extra combo switch I believe but the high beam switch does not work - have not had a chance to try and fix it. Let me know if you are interested I might sell it as is for cheap if you'd like to use it for troubleshooting. I'll send you some pics - let me know.
Hopefully I've helped some.
