Where do you get your brackets & tabs for doing frame repair?
I can get the flat stuff but I need shock brackets and body / frame mounts since some are just not there anymore, even to copy. I was looking for pre-cut stuff since I'm lacking the cutting tools.
Some holes are easy to patch with 2x12 strips and small plates I can cut with a sawzall.
Some parts are easy and I can make them with hand tools, but some I think are better made by people with much better tools than I have.
Then I need to build a bed from 2x4's which isn't an issue, though I would rather have something much more substantial. Like a headache rack and a tube frame to brace the frame some since the rust has compromised the frame more than I like.

About the only thing I could suggest for the tabs and such would be the bone yard. But being in NY, I am guessing the rust has ruined any chances of that.
I would know what to do on the mounts by the radiator but as far as the other 4 body mounts, would just a solid floor with some holes work?
Probably not much help but did give it my best shot.

The lower shock mounts are acceptable, but the uppers are mostly dissolved by corrosion. So theres no point in saving whats left. Here in the North East there's nothing really salvageable due to road salt.
So I am looking for a double shear tab idea to weld into the frame.
Perhaps a solid rod with the end drilled & tapped for the factory bolts. Just re-create whats there already since its going to be a DD & holding pen for the engine till I need it.
