'87 4Runner - O2 Sensor Installation
Truck;
87 4Runner, 22RE with 223,000 miles. Just bought it!
Been doing the normal check-replace of components since PO did not take of her too well.
Current O2 sensor was leaking, so I thought I'd replace it. Dealership wants $150. Sparkplugs.com gave me a Denso for $5 - part# 234-1051. Sold.
On installation, the probe appears to be hitting something preventing it from going all the way in to seat the flange to the flange. Can't seem to find anything.
Question: Do any of you more experienced and knowledgable gents know how long the probe is suppose to be? This was from Denso is 1 1/8" lg. This sensor mounts in the pipe just below the exhaust manifold. I never seen one like this before.
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
