87 4runner hub cover removal help

I went to change my front wheel bearings today and ran into what i consider, the dumbest hiccup ever.

i can not get the silver outside hub cover off. i took the wheel off, and the center hub cover off.....and thats all.

i am now bending and denting the cover, so i decided to quit.

is this piece supposed to pull off? or do the bolts that hold the hub also holding that cover...(if so i broke one and decided ill need to order more parts)

thanks

Red face

Spray it good cause that should come off.

In fact I can`t see how you got the wheel off.

I know the first time those came off my 4Runner they got thrown away.

The wheel fits over top of that. I'm assuming they are aftermarket. I know the wheels are (as of ten minutes ago asked my dad) i was only 1 when my grandpa bought this truck and he changed the wheels immediately so i always thought they were factory

If your not planning on reusing them, take a hammer to them, chisel anything. I had them on my pickup, pretty much destroyed them getting them off.

Thanks guys. I guess destroying them is my only option at this point. I also broke one of the studs holding the hub on so I'm going to have to order some more parts for the wheel bearing job anyways.
