87 22R running rough.
It has been a bit tired for some time now- There might be another problem there. Then it just died would not start, towed it home. Cranked on it for a while and got it started. Now It will start right up but idles rough and only will go about 40 mph, running rough the hole way. I have switched out the carbs, Checked the timing, ohmed out the coil. I have about 115 psi in each cylinder but that was the same before it started running rough. Right when it happened my wife blew a radiator line. She got it shut down right away so I dont think it overheated. Maybe something got wet? Also how can I get rid of all the emissions crap? Thinking that may be a problem.

does it back fire or stumble ? this could be a sign of a wet or cracked dist cap or bad plug wires . you might remove the cap and inspect it . you can use wd-40 to dry it out. just wipe out the excess.

No it doesnt backfire and it doesnt seem to cut in and out. I have pulled each plug wire off and every wire makes the engine miss so its not that it isnt fireing on one cylinder.

if it still has a smog pump, it might have went bad . it would cause it to run bad but i don't think it would affect how fast it will go. you can remove the belt to the pump and run it to see if it is the problem. the egr valve can also cause idle problems .
