87 22r Oil in Radiator and Antifreeze in #1 cylinder
Been lurking here for awhile now, but I have finally reached a point where I need more info than what I can find posted.
I recently changed my head gasket, timing chain, timing chain cover, oil pump, and water pump. Checked the valves and replaced the old vacuum lines.
Before I changed everything, there was oil leaking from my valve cover, which went on for a while before I bought the truck. But no other problems and no major issues.
Figured while I was changing all the timing stuff I might as well change the head gasket.
Now that the work is done, I have oil in my radiator, and antifreeze in the number 1 cylinder. I also have an antifreeze leak coming from under the intake manifold.
I followed all the steps in the FSM and took extra care to make sure everything was torqued and done properly.
I am wondering if the head could have cracked after torquing down the new head bolts? And could it be possible that the intake manifold is warped which would allow the antifreeze into the intake and down into the cylinder? But I am stumped on how the oil is entering the cooling system if the head is not cracked. I used an OEM Toyota and head bolts, but everything else was from 22r-eperformance.
I am almost ready to get a new head and start all over but I wanted some info from the folks here first.
