22r 86 Toyota pickup loss of acceleration while driving.

Ok guys maybe you can help me I have a 86 Toyota pickup 22r engine, that fails to accurate after driving for awhile. So far I have replaced ignition coil, ignition igniter, distributor cap and rotor, all spark plugs and wires.

So my 86 toyota pickup starts up and runs good for a while, after about 10 mins or so in driving it begins to lose acceleration, I step on the gas nothing not even the engine reving, sometimes if I release the peddle a little it will accelerate until it hits a point then nothing (like no gas or spark) and will do this until that truck will no longer go, or it will die and not start, but if I switch it off and wait a min it's back to driving perfect for a short time. Was thinking about replacing the fuel pump next I checked the filter and looks good, a buddy of my who fixed my oil leak thinks when oil leaked on the alternator it shorted it out seems to be working fine though so I don't know, any input would be great.
