86 22re turbo wont start. Help!
New to this forum and and this is my first post here. I just got done rebuilding my factory 22ret motor and dropped it in yesterday. It wouldn't start. I started to narrow some stuff down and here it is. It gets spark. fuel pressure is there, not sure how much, but it sprays realy good when i loosen up the cold start injector line. If I spray starting fluid in and hook the intake back up it will run till it burns it up. I pulled # 1 injector plug and put a noid light in and cranked it over. did not flash or light up so I'm not sure if it is the computer, injector resistor, or some other thing not sending a signal to the computer to tell the injectors to fire. Also replaced the factory injectors with RC's SL2-370's. I ordered them specificly for my build. one other thing the computer makes a clicking noise that seems to go along with the starter turning over but yet it seems to come and go both under full throttle and no throttle. realy wierd. please help!

Check out the wires and connection to the silver finned aluminum box located on the passenger fenderwell, that is where you r injector pulse comes from. Make sure you are getting a good connection at the plug and that the wires have not pulled out. It happened to me same thing as your problem.

thanks! Your right that was it but I already had it figured out bright and early this morning. Spent alot of time last night looking at the wiring schematics and after checking voltages this morning I got it to fire right up. Now i'm having another issue. I'm think I have a vacuum leak somewhere, going to presurize the system to see if I can find it. Its kind of sporatic though. the truck shuts down like i'm hitting fuel cut but the check engine light doesn't come on. Sometimes it happens right when I start building boost, other times aroud 5 lbs and then sometimes It'll hit 10 lbs and be fine. (I shimmed the wastegate to get 10 lbs) I have a feeling its the blowoff valve sticking open.
