Cool 86 22 rtec turbo question

I have a issue. from the air box to the turbo there is a combantion of rubber plastic and metal parts that make up the tube. one of the sections slosest to the air box is plastic and has a sensor or something going into it that is connected to the valve cover. my issue is the sensor is loose in the plastic hose and is allowing air and who knows what else to get into the turbo. toyota doesnt make this part anymore.. has anyone had this issue and what did you do to fix it?

You may be able to CAREFULLY place a little silicone around it, or remove the sensor and re-fabricate the tubing, and then replace the sensor in its spot.

previous owner has already botched it all up. I was thinking of making a whole new tube from scratch one piece metal.. but it would have to steel cause I dont know how to tig. not sure yet need to get it figured out cause its my ride to the desert and season is here now..

Oh. There's some Turbo guys on here, might be able to source one from/thru them. But fabbing a new one might be easier. Everybody seems to scrap the Turbo trucks. I think they're freakin cool. But as rare as they are, parts are a bear to find. Pics?

I too have thought about getting rid of the turbo but dont know what else I would hve to change, for know I wanna try to keep it the way it is. I would trade for a solid axle though, just came across this and had to give it a shot

Kick around here, there's plenty of folks that keep them alive and healthy, better turbo, better head/work, etc. I'd love to have one, they're no power monster i hear, but that's ok. I kinda find unusual things...cool.
