$750 for valve adjustment; is that right?
I just called Toyota and asked how much it would be to get my valves adjusted on my 3.0 and he said it'd take five hours and it costs $750 dollars. Does that sound about right?

Sorry to give ya the bad news. I work for a Toyota dealer. At my shop rate, labor would be $500 alone, plus the plenum and valve cove gaskets, then, if you did need replacement shims, it all adds up pretty quick, not to mention what the tech finds and recommends while he's got your truck in the bay. Personally, I'd check the valve clearance yourself. If any aren't within spec, then consider getting it done. Besides, it's a 3.0 V6. Chances are the valve cover gaskets are leaking
