5 speed swap is done!

I just finished it up and took it for a drive! Wow night and day difference from the auto! Thanks to 881stGenRunner for helping me with a little of the wiring! And who ever else help a little also! If any of you guys looking to doing a 5 speed swap I would go for it! Also if anyone has any questions about this swap I might be able to help you out along with alot of other people on here!

That's something I'd LOVE to do, but I don't have the money, tools, or most importantly, expertise. Kinda like a locker

do you have pics? specs? links? I was looking to do kinda the same thing. My truck is so gutless even with a fresh reman in it. I dont undestand why I get such chity gas mileage, but at the same time, it doesn't smoke, it's not throwing any codes, and my plugs look (if anything) as if it's burnin more on the lean side.... all the while having no power. I am stumped, where is all that gas going?

Im sure there are some other guys here that will tell you the auto makes the truck/4unner suck the gas! I just did the swap and filled up at the same time! I will let you know how mileage is! I have worked at a tranny shop since I was 8 but always had my dad right there to answer any question I had! Now I live 6 hours from him and i did just fine with basic hand tools. This swap isent that hard! wiring the thing is prob the hadest! The only way your going to learn about doing stuff on your ride it to just dive into it! I dont have any links. I should of did a write up but I didnet. Will get some pics soon!
