Ive researched this problem and ive found no answers, i have a 95 pickup 4wd with man hubs. i know at least one of the hubs doesnt work, last week i put it in 4l to get out of a hole,i knew 4wd wasnt working just needed lower gears, but the light came on. i did the same thing yesterday but the light wont come on, could it be more than just the hubs? Thanks in advance

First off it's not a real good idea to run in 4wd with one hub that doesn't work. With one hub not working I don't think the front end will engage at all if it's an open diff. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

The hubs have nothing to do with the light. There is a wire or sensor or something on top of the t-case that lights up the light when you go into 4wd, even without the hubs locked the light should still come on. My doesn't but that's because I'm missing the damn sensor thing on the t-case.

Replace or repair that busted hub and start looking for a frayed or loose wire on the t-case.
