4runner rear axle whine
Hey this is my first post on here so bear with me. I have a '90 4runner that I just got running after an engine rebuild. It's a 3.0 with an auto. It has a worrable whine coming from the rear end. I've topped off the fluid and I'm pretty sure it's a bearing but I thought I would post to see if anyone knew which bearing might be the culprit. It starts whinning pretty quick around 15mph maybe even a little sooner then that. I only whines when I'm on the gas, no noise at all when you let off. Thanks for any info you might have to share.

They usually whine when you let off the gas when it's a bearing. I'm wondering if you have a bad ring and/or pinion gear that's got a problem on the drive face.
