4runner hvac blower switch question
i have searched thru the forums and i can not find the answer im looking for. so i am turning to the knowledge pool..
my 93 4runners 4speed blower switch for defrost and what not got stuck and would not move from the off position. i have removed the switch from the dash and the body of the switch and contacts are in good shape and the switch has remained unmelted. i opened the body of the switch which was full of gunk(my guess is coca cola and smoke) i have cleaned the inside of the switch to near mint condition. now my problem is i can not figure out how to reassembly the switch. i could go to the junk yard and get another one. but im sure my is in better condition now that i have cleaned all of the gunk out of it. i would just like to know if anyone has ever attempted to service this switch. and if someone knows how to assemble the spring, ball, and plate that form the internals of this switch.
the fsm does not have an exploded view of this switch. and in the forum most people seem to replace the switch as it has melted. this is not my problem. my switch was just dirty and i would like to know how to reassemble now that i have cleaned the internal contacts.
thank you for your time

I've replaced 6 of them on my 4Runner but have never disassembled any of them. I'd just get one from a pick'n'pull (they don't normally charge much, mostly they just say take it) and disassemble that one paying close attention. Maybe a nice step by step would help others here too.
