4.3 transmission options

I have a 1997 4.3 with the Advanced adaptors kit to my Toyota g series transmission. I've broke the input bearings on 1 Toyota tranny. Replaced it with another Toyota trans. Just wondering what options I have for a better replacement.
I have dual cases and would like the NV 4500, but open to pros and cons
Automatic or manual?
700R4 or 4L60E?
Should I ditch my dual Toyota cases and go dana 300 or atlas?

Running Toyota axles with 5.29 gearz and 40" tires

This is a whole can of personal preference worms. Haha. A lot of this will depend on your budget and what/how you use the truck.

The g series is not a bad trans, are you replacing with a new/re man trans, or a junkyard ( aka unknown condition used ) trans?

I dont know what it takes to adapt toyota cases to the NV, but Im sure some one makes an adapter.

Auto or manual is your call. Do you trailer this truck around or does it see street duty? Im a fan of the TH350 for an auto tranny, but does not have a o/d, thats where that 700r4 may come in.

Dana 300 vs atlas vs toy case is also a fun debate. Everyone wants an atlas. Haha. But I would say if your not breaking toyot tcase parts, then no need to upgrade.

from what I understand if you are running a pre 1996 4.3l engine you are pulling roughly 160 hp. A well built 22re can pull 130-140hp and has no real problems with the transmission. As far as the torque is concerned it may be a little higher but the transmission when mounted correctly and new should be able to handle what the 4.3 can put out. I have ran into a few people who have this combo with no issues but everyone is different with different set ups. is there a heavy duty option for a input bearing in these transmissions?

4.3 transmission options

Thanks, its all ways a can of worms
Money is not a object, time is my problem
Hate having the truck out of order

I have had problems with my advanced adaptors starter, it ate one flywheel. Been replaced with new AA flywheel
Going to try shims from the install to see if the starter will chew the new flywheel. Starter is also AA product, its being rebuilt now should be completed this week

My truck is not street legal, only trailered over pavement. I got a Craig's list G series to replace the blown one.
The over drive option is not needed but desired for this rig, just hard to stop goosing the gas. I have had no problems with my T cases, marlin bulids good products.
I'm keeping my eye for that NV 4500, or could buy the marlin crawler G series transmission.
