3vze Hose Connections

I need some help.

Since I have gotten my 93 4X4 back from the shop I have been dealing with hoses plugged into the wrong spots.

Off the bottom of the power steering pump there is the air control valve that has 2 hoses coming off it. Both hoses were plugged into an inlet plenum plug. Basically the same one actually. Having vacuum on both hoses does not make sense to me.

Also, off the AC idle up valve (my truck has had the AC removed) there are to hose connections. Both of these were plugged into the same spot off the air box connection. According to the drawing for the AC idle up valve, the large hose connection just under the actuator goes to the air box, and the bottom hose goes to vacuum (intake manifold).

So I switched the hoses. I made sure that the bottom of the idle up actuator goes to vacuum and I plugged the power steering air control valve line into that spot going to the air cleaner.

Does this sound right. I keep seeing posts saying that a power steering line should goto that idle up valve, but its physically impossible.

Well I must be doing something right. Those yahoos had my fuel return line plugged into my AC idle up valve awhile back. The gasoline must have gummed it up. I pulled it off and ran some cleaner through it and blew it out real good. Reinstalled, applied direct vacuum to the actuator and she idles up now.

Yahoos is right. Wow. If I were in your shoes I would be dangerously angry.

It is easy to mess up those hoses. Whenever I unplug the fuel line, I put a bolt in it so I know which one it is.
