3vze distributer
OK peeps, i have an 88 4runner with said 3vze. I had to replace my crank and am in the final stages of getting her buttoned up again. I have 2 FSM's one for an 86' ( yes, i know. irreleveant ) and one for an 88' but her is my problem. Both are for 22r - re engines...... what do i need to do to get my distributer back in correctly? If anyone could point me in the direction of a write up on the subjuct that would be great. Step by step instruction would be helpfull aswell. Thank you guys in advance!!!!

Same as with any 4 stroke piston engine. Set the engine to TDC on the Compression stroke, and point the distributor to #1 in the cap.
In layman's terms, set the Crank mark to Zero (0) and set the distrubutor to point at #1 on the cap. If the truck doesn't start, you have it 180 degrees out. Turn the crank until its at Zero again and 180 degrees away from #1, then pull the distributor and turn to #1. You will now be at #1 TDC on the Compression stroke.
Hope that helps

Distributer 93 pickup 3vze electrical current
Hi I got a issue. Where truck starts fluctuating idle up and down like a bad ground... I was. Giving a friend a jump other night and it was dark outside pitch black and something caught my eye. I could see electrical current travling thru my spark plug wires I spread the wires between. Fingers and can see current travling around my fingers and to the human eye it appears to be travling from plugs to distributer I could be wrong but I never have seen that in my life I also don't stand in complete darkness to often with vehicle running ,and watching cables ....my question is is that suppose to be happening and if not what would cause it .....? Thank you for your time and help God Bless
