3VZ eating oil.
I bought my truck about 2 months ago. She was actually running fairly well, and wasn't burning any oil, no leaks nothing seemed wrong with the engine.
Then yesterday (through my own stupidity) I managed to wreck something in the internals on the engine because it had no oil at all in it. 2 months ago it was full. 3 weeks or so ago it was full, or close enough that I wasn't worried. Yesterday empty. I had to put 4 quarts of oil into it before it was registering on the dipstick. Either way I toasted the engine and it now needs a rebuild.
As far as I could tell there wasn't any leaking under the engine and there was only a little bit of seepage around the valve covers. Valley of the engine was dry as far as I could tell.
Any thoughts from the gurus? I'm at a loss as to what went wrong and where the oil is disappearing to. Also I feel like a complete donkey because I wasn't checking my oil as much as I should have been.
