3FE to Carb?

Hello -

I am anticipating taking a 91 FJ80 to Africa where the only fuel available (aside from diesel) is regular (leaded). The one concern I have is that the gas will foul the injectors in short order (I know it will destroy the smog - I plan on desmogging the machine). Is it possible to install a weber carb on it? Is that advisable? Anyone do this before?

thanks in advance,

Phil

sounds like a tall order.have u tried some of the landcruiser specific forums.I found various ones while thinking of buying one a while back.maybe there are some who have done some safaris out there.I do know you will need a pressure regulator to keep from putting to much pressure into the carburetor.I wish I could help more, sorry.
