Look at the EWDs for your truck and the donor truck, and make a note of any and all signals that need to pass between the engine harness and the rest of the vehicle.

The engine harness needs power and ground, needs inputs from various switches and sensors not included in the engine harness and sends signals from the engine/ECU to the rest of the vehicle (such as the instrument panel). You need to figure those out, or go looking through all the various swap threads and see what others have done.

Familiarize yourself with: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f160/

You'll want to identify the name of the connection between the engine harness and the dash harness (mine were "II1," "II3," "IH1," and "IH2") then search through ALL of the EWDs (or the overall EWD) for those connector names, write down the pin number, wire colors, and a brief description of where the wire came from and where it goes. After you do that for both vehicles, just match the wire functions together; it will take a bit of time and effort though.
