3.0 water pump/ timing belt kits ?

95 SR5 3.0 needs a water pump so, with 60k since timing belt was replaced I might as well do everything on the front end ? What are your thoughts on kit's like these and also, I have a fair amount of wobble in the fan clutch(bearing?) which may be why water pump failed. Truck has 230k and will not be a daily driver just for hauling and towing occasionally.

Ok here you go.
On the first one listed the belt is OEM quality.
Can't comment on the other items.

It looks like a screamin' deal at least.

I got my parts from RockAuto. Went with the Gatorback timing belt and Aisin water pump. The belt had the marks for lining up the timing, so that was nice.

I've read people that suggest using the AISIN water pumps and then only needing to change them out every second belt. At the price of the kit you found, I would just change the water pump every time and call it good.

That kit really does look like everything you need. Add in your accessory belts and a tube of sealant and you should be good to go. Are you planning to adjust the valve clearances while you're in there? I ended up pulling my cams to adjust the valves and change out the valve stem oil seals. Pulling the cams was definitely the way to go (you might pick up a couple 5mm longer bolts for the cam caps before you start reinstalling, as they are known to strip out).

On these trucks the fan is not directly connected to the water pump, so probably not the cause of your problem.

I have not done it myself, but imagine you could replace the bearing in the fan clutch bracket. If yours is loose, I think you would be making a mistake not to fix it, as it seems to drop ball bearings down inside your lower timing cover when it fails and really messes things up with the timing belt.

You can buy a whole new bracket, but even RockAuto wants $120 for the thing.

Why the front seal in this kit ?

1 Timing Belt (OES Belt)
1 Timing Belt Tensioner Roller
1 Timing Belt Idler Roller
1 Water Pump, Gasket & O-Ring (GMB)
2 Cam Seals
1 Front Seal
1 OEM Auto Hydraulic Tensioner Adjuster

Front crankshaft seal, your going to be removing crank pulley (can be a pain) get the right tool or you can make one, there's plenty of threads on this procedure.
Replace seal you don't want that leaking and have to go in there again.
At least get a kit with an Aisin WP as suggested and I replaced my crank bolt also and torqued to specs. IIRC it's 217 ft. pounds. Good luck
