22rte and supra afm question
I ran the 82 supra afm on my 1990 22re and it worked great from the start. Now I have this 87 22rte that is bone stock. I'm building a 2.5'' downpipe connected to my old 2.5'' flowmaster in few weeks, and adding a 1st gen dsm bov (recirculated). I keep hearing I have to run bigger injectors with the supra afm,but that was also guys running 9+psi of boost. I'm gonna keep boost and everything else stock for now (other than exhaust and bov) and was wondering if I can get away with just putting the afm on there "as is" like I did on my 22re. I won't have a afr gauge for awhile and can't afford a really nice one. I'm gonna get a simple ''dawes device" for that since it's simple, affordable, and I've known turbo dodge guys swear by them http://www.3barracing.com/product_3.htm

just to be safe, i wouldn't run the supra afm on your 22ret until you can get an afr gauge to monitor the afr. I would be afraid that your 22ret and even that 22re would be running really lean with the supra afm without bigger injectors, aftermarket fuel pressure regulator, or a fuel controller.

If you're not a member of 22rtetrucks, I would start there and do some research. From what I've heard is that you won't see any noticeable performance gains with doing just the AFM swap. They recommend matching it up with bigger injectors as well, but I could be wrong.
