22RE won't idle at all
so, i have a 1988 toyota pickup 22RE, won't idle. cleaned the throttle body cause it was dirty, adjusted my TPS. whenever it starts, it goes to like 500 RPM and below, and sputters like crazy, barely idling. if i rev it, it sputters, then revs up, with a backfire or two. but those are rare.
i have noticed an Intake gasket issue near the back of my intake, so the gasket most likely has a hole in it. if it does, will that cause the truck to run like crap and not idle?
if it isn't the TPS, what else can i check for idle? bad IAC? EGR? clean them? replace them? i need help.
and yes i already used the Search.

Any hole or vacuum leak will make your truck run bad. So you need to replace the gaskets, check for bad vacuum lines, and also replace the fuel filter if it hasn`t been done in a while.
A bad IAC or plugged EGR can also cause these problem. You can remove the EGR and clean it, and to see if its working. You can also carefully take the IAC a part and check it, also test it with a meter to see if its good.
