22RE - Unknown Sender

22RE - Unknown Sender
Sorry no picture on this one... on my 22RE intake between cylinders 2 & 3 there is a sender that has a spade connector with a blue plastic guard on it.
Can someone help me understand what this is? While I have everything apart I am replacing all of my senders/switches with new OE.
My dealer cannot locate it in their system without the part number.

If it's down and behind the thermostat housing it's the sender for the coolant temp gauge.
here's a picture of the sender location. I installed a gauge, that's the adapter.

I think grumpin is right; it is most likely the ECT (engine Coolant Temperature) sensor 89428-28030.
Don't sell the counter-man short. Spend a little time on http://www.toyotapartsoverstock.com and you'll see how difficult it is to find an arbitrary part -- and you've only got one vehicle to be familiar with!
When I buy parts from my dealer, I print the diagram, circle the part I think is the right one, write the part number on the print out, and write my VIN on the printout. Toyota moves part numbers around a little, and if you give the counter man a head start he can be very helpful. Also, I think the dealer has three (or more?) prices: Local Mechanics, walk-up customers, and whiny dummies. If I can convince the counter-man I know what I'm doing and am trying to make his job easy, I hope to get the "Local Mechanics" price.
