22RE Knock Sensor Bypass Harness Connectors
I am looking to bypass the wiring harness for the knock sensor on my 88 22RE. Getting code 52, blah blah blah.
I have the shielded wire from Aircraft Spruce, and have removed the metal female spade connectors from their plastic housings. However, I am having a hard time coming up with the metal female spade connectors for either end of the bypass wire. I have combed over mouser and Digikey with no luck finding the exact match. I am looking for the knock sensor side as well as the ECU side.
I'd prefer not to molest the stock harness as it may not be the issue.
This is the one side of what I am looking for. This came from an already spare harness that I had laying around. No ECU side.

I need to find a solution to this. I passed it by a few friends today and non of them came up with anything either.

Go to your local dealer and grab p/n 82219-89103
It's a pigtail- connector (identical to your yellow one) with a wire lead. You can splice that one up and run a harness straight to the ECU. If you want, I can look around for my spare harness clips and send you a pin from one with a pigtail to solder or crimp to if you'd like. LMK the wire color you're looking for if you want to get all specific. Shoot me a PM with your address.
Actually, I think I have a spare connector kicking around somewhere if you'd like that, too. I can even solder a new pigtail/wire on it for ya if you'd like.

I was kinda hoping to avoid splicing and soldering, just rerun the wire using the spare KS side connector I have and get a new ECU side connector to push into the existing ECU plug. I can't believe that I cannot come up with these little metal terminals. Did Toyota build their own?

Hey Scubarunner, I know this thread is years old but did you ever fix your knock sensor wire? I don't think my 1986 has a pigtail, I think it's just one long wire from the sensor to the ecu. Can anyone confirm? I'm not sure but I don't think part number 82219-89103 works for a 1986. Any and all comments are appreciated.
