Okay, I have a 93 pickup 2wd 22re. Parked it back in May 2015 and it ran fantastic when I parked it. I then bagged and bodied the truck. I tore apart the interior along with taking the wiring harness out. I recently put it all back together. My first problem was the starter. It wasn't getting any power. I had power to the relay. So I just ran a new wire from the relay to the starter and spliced in the 2 black wires that were on the starter wire. I got it cranking. Then I had trouble with the pump turning out. Idk what I did but it's working now. But now I don't have any spark. No power going to the ignitor/coil. There is blue and black wire coming out of the plug into the ecu and it seems to be a weak ground. Idk what I going on with this thing. I never messed with anything electrical in this process and now everything is going wrong.
Please help!!

It sounds like it ran before you took it apart. I would fix the starter to the way the factory had it and get it cranking like it came from the factory. It might be a problem that is causing a no spark for you. Electric in not my strong area but I suspect one problem is causing another problem.

Thanks for the reply. I'll be sure to try this. I was actually planning on it anyway. I just wanted to get it running before making everything pretty

Trying to install a 4 wire o2 sensor. I got 1987 22re motor and ecu in a 88 body 88 had a 4 wire so bought one. I was wondering if it's OK to run the 4 wire on this 88 body wire harness but I'm using in 87 ecu and motor

In the future if you have a new and separate question, start a new thread instead of asking in an unrelated thread. Since your question isn't the same as the one this thread is asking you're not going to be seen as much and you won't get as many answers. Plus it's just good etiquette.

Anyway, the engine is the same between 87 and 88 so no issue there. The wiring, however, is totally different. The 87 ECU will have no capabilities to control the 4 wire O2 sensor. 88 was its own special year as far as electronics go. Injectors are different and a few other things too. You're much better off getting all electronics off of a single year and using that.

Like arlindsay said, keep it all the same year. There are so many changes from year to year even from 84-88. Trying to mix the electronics from one year to another year is just one big soup sandwich. I can identify which year it is just by the wiring as there are so many changes that were made.

Yup,
ECU on 88 also contributes to CSI control, whereas in the 87 and earlier, only the CSI Timer switch does.

It is common for the speedometers to stop working on the 2nd gen 4runners. Same has happened to me. What caused mine to fail and figured out how to fix? The dashboards on 2nd gen 4runners crack over time, and like me living out of my truck for the last year and half, moisture tends to build up inside the truck, dew on windows will eventually drip into the cracks of dash and leak into the cluster onto the speedometer, furthermore shorting it out indefinitely. Now at first I thought it was my speed sensor, replaced it and no fix. Replaced my cluster as a whole and the one I replaced it with also had problems, so note that if you replace your cluster with a used one there is still a chance that the cluster is still the problem, replaced it again with a 2nd one this time replacing just the speedometer out of the cluster and wulah. I have now since sealed my cluster off with silicone to prevent further water from entering it.
