22re drive belt balance - A/C - crankshaft?
Since I got my truck there's been no belt on the A/C, I havent' cared. But I just read this from two years ago:
Is that TRUE?
khat toy's 1986/1988 4Runner Build-Up Thread:
which brings me to the question... i ripped the compressor off, since i hate a/c, but someone told me i should put a dummy pulley back in to even out the tension on my crankshaft pulley, is this really necessary??? https://www.yotatech.com/51532287-post48.html

The Toyota's had different "packages" as well as "options" that could be installed or deleted.
A/C was an option, and part of various "packages", as was power steering mostly standard but able to be deleted.
Neither A/C or power steering required belts to be installed if they weren't installed for balance or any other reason.
