22R won't start, has spark
I'm going crazy trying to figure out the problem with my son's '92 truck. It won't start, even with starting fluid, although it has spark coming out of the distributor.
Spark appears to be strong, timing looks good from a visual (rotor is pointing to #1 at TDC).
I'm guessing it's not a fuel issue, since it would start right up with starting fluid. Checked all the fuses and everything appears good. Plugs look okay.
Anyone have any bright ideas?

You need spark, air, fuel and compression, so check for spark at the plug then if you have spark, check timing, and if all is good test compression, if you do have spark and the timing is close it should at least try to start unless it's a compression issue or broken timing chain.
