22r EFI conversion
so guys i have a 2wd truck with a 22r that is my daily driver. i built the motor in it 2 years ago and put a weber 38 on it because i wanted more power... now, i want better fuel economy. there are also other problems like not having an idle up control for ac and power steering, so i have decided that i want to convert it to efi. i've got very good mechanical and electrical skills, so actually doing it won't be the problem. what i am wondering is where i could get the parts i need to do it. the local junkyards gut their trucks as soon as they get them. i've looked around on the internet classifieds and also on here. any ideas where i could source the parts i need???

I don't know where you are located but here in Denver there is a used toyota parts place http://jimsgotparts.com if you give them a call and talk to Jim and let him know what it is you are wanting to do, I have no doubt that he can get you the parts you need and at a fair price too.
Good luck

I second Jimsgotparts although a donor vehicle that is totalled or has a dead motor is always the best bet because not only do you have the parts, but you know exactly where they were pulled from
