22r to 22rte swap in 1987 pickup 4X4 HELP!!
I purchased a totaled 86 extra cab pickup that had a 22rte in it. Truck got in an accident but engine was running fine. I pulled the engine and full harness out of it And am putting it in my 87 pickup that had a 22r in it. I am mostly done now but am stuck and need help. Im starting to wish i just rebuilt my 22r. Anyways if anyone has pictures of the engine bay i would be very great full. The air box was smashed in the accident so i wanted to go to an after market air filter. Does anyone know of a kit that bolts up to the mass airflow sensor i believe its square on the end that hooks up to the air box. also the exhaust manifold is dented bad anyone know of a easy replacement. Sorry if this is to much info or not enough this is my first post on here. Any help would be awsome. Thanks.

The exhaust manifold,or the downpipe off the turbo is dented? The exhaust manifold is a pretty stout piece of cast iron and probably won't "dent" but crack or break instead. If the downpipe is dented,or kinked,or anything like that, replace it. The stock exhaust on the turbo motors is already too restrictive the way it is.

Yeah it's pretty much kinked closed. Do you know where I can find a replacement? I need the whole exhaust. If not being a welder by trade I will try to fit one out on stainless. Does the cooling line that runs to the turbo have a return also or does it link up with the main return to the radiator? I will also need to have a bunghole put on my radiator wanted to know if I needed one on both ends. Thank you.

The turbo radiator has an extra inlet on the top driver's side for the turbo return. If the radiator isn't damaged, use the turbo one, it's bigger.
You can use a stock 22R-E air-box, but you need to top off the turbo box, as it orients the AFM in a different direction. Any intake that bolts to a 22R-E will bolt to the 22R-TE, but it might not necessarily fit due to the different orientation of the AFM.
By exhaust manifold, I'm sure you mean downpipe. The exhaust manifold runs between the engine and turbo, the downpipe runs off the back of the turbo to the rest of your exhaust. Nothing I know of that's available, but you could have n exhaust shop cut the flange off the old one, and weld on a new pipe. It's nothing too special.
Not a very good picture:
