22 RE stalls only when driving

22re stall only while driving
94 22RE 221k.
Trouble started over a month ago. Driving in the morning and after 5 minutes or so, I could feel it miss slightly, accelerating and decelerating. Didn't last long and didn't do it everyday. It has since progressed to full on stalling and running bad. I am good with an VOM and I set out to test O2 sensors and everything else that I could think. I can not replicate the issue under idle conditions which is making it VERY aggravating.
Though the bench test for the AFM passed perfectly, I had been thinking it could be that EXCEPT that, there are times that the truck will not start after a stall out. I will watch the tailpipe for smoke when it gives me trouble starting, looking for signs of flooding but, no black smoke is present. Fuel filter is a little under 2 years old. TPS won't pass bench tests but I would think if it were that, I'd be able to replicate the trouble while revving it in the driveway.
Tuned it up yesterday with plugs, cap & rotor and verified timing. Plugs were very white and I'd guess it's running lean. Would a faulty AFM give me lean fuel issues and trouble with fuel delivery on a startup?
