Haha on the left one...

I guess MudHippy knows a lot about these but from what I understand the 93 to 95 4runners have a two wire sensor. I will post pics tomorrow

The knock sensor actually adjusts the timing so if you have it bypassed your truck could be running much better, and you will have a pesky code 52.

So nobody knows the answer to this? If anybody knows what the two wires do then I could figure out which one goes to ECU and wire it in that way. There's one brown one and one black wire. I just need to know which one goes the ECU thanks

There is a signal wire and a ground wired for shielding of the signal wire. The signal wire is wrapped by the shielding wire.

Both types of knock sensor are 1 wire(for the sensor signal). Which is black for both types AFAIK.

92-95

From the 88 WD(see CONN S terminal 17).

Both types of knock sensor wires(the wires connecting the sensor to the wiring harness) are 1 wire on one end(sensor), 2 wire on the other end(wiring harness). So there's 2 terminals on the wiring harness connector(1 for the sensor signal wire, and 1 for the sheilding), and 1 terminal on the knock sensor connector(for the sensor signal wire...obviously).

So what you guys are saying that there is 2 wires that incorporate each other, thus making it a one wire sensor?

Yes I have and now I understand it. Haven't had to replace knock sensor pig tail yet. Thanks
