1st gen roll bar

I have seen the pics of people who put a 1st gen roll bar in the back of their 2nd 4runner and I'm thinking about giving it a try if I come across one for cheap. I understand that you have to cut it down a little bit to get it to fit in the back right when you mount it. So, Im curious if anyone happens to know if I will be able to fit it in the back of my 4runner longitudinally or on its side (maybe with the seats down?) so that I can transport it home and then cut it to size for mounting?

im pretty sure but not certain that it unbolts into three peices but it would fit in the back of your runner no problem.

Should fit with seats down sideways.

No it doesn't come apart in 3 pieces.

I was thinking about doing the same thing only putting a 1st gen rollbar in the back of my 1988 pickup. It would be a nice spot to put a fire extinguisher and my highlift jack.
