1st gen bed on a 2nd gen pickup??

So ive come across a 1st gen bed thats rust free for 150 on craigslist. Seems to be real solid. My question is, do all the bolts line up? and does anybody have any pics? Ive searched and searched and cant find a single pic. I know the body lines may not be perfect but its in way better condition than my current bed.

Personally I have seen pics on here I think in the pre 84 threads about the bed swap. They look really bad putting first Gen on second Gen. But seems a lot of ppl put second Gen beds on first gens.

Also first Gen beds aren't as wide as 2nd or 3rd Gen beds if I'm thinking right

What year is the first gen.?And what year is your truck?Anything can be done even if the mounting holes dont match. And the lines can look pretty cool actually.Like a hybrid thing.Look at my avatar, thets an 86 bed on a 95 truck. The lines didnt line up exactly so I shimmed the bed up with washers made of rubber membrane roofing. If I were you I'd do it.

Sorry to sound like a newb but what years are the different generations? So mine is a 3rd gen?
Anyway I got the new bed and everything lined right up. Body lines match and everything and I'm real happy with it. No more rust holes!!!

Thanks man. Yea where I'm from, tires sticking out isn't a big deal but I'd still like to get some to widen it out some and get more coverage for the sides
