Am I risking any warping/damage if I store the top on its end propped against a wall in my garage?

I don't wanna leave it out in the yard, and I'm not quite ready to build a rig to hang it from the garage ceiling in my new house...

Not sure but I would use some 2x4s. Bold it to them and prop it up... Hope this makes sense

I'm more worried about the top fiberglass flexing than the flanges. Anybody else got 2 cents?

my dad used to hang his topper up in the garage on one of the walls using bike hook screwed into studs

I always store mine propped up against my garage wall. I have never had any issues with warping. However i do recommend placing some cardboard on the floor so the ends dont get scuffed up

I have mine leaning on my back fence, and the spare thrown straddling my '79 cab...they will take some throwing around just fine.

X2-the tops are pretty tough. Just make sure the top is placed evenly against the wall, not twisted or flexed at all.
Hanging it from the ceiling though would be a good option.

I certainly hope so.....I've got my spare (yes...I have a spare topper) leaning up against the retaining wall in my yard. Seems pretty beefy, I'm not really worried, but I haven't put it on a truck since I put it there, so I'm not positive.

Although, when I use it, I'll probably be cutting it up. But I'd still like it to be straight.

"dangle system"....may want rethink that name hehehehehe.

I doubt that you can hurt that top unless you have it twisted terribly and expose it to extreme cold, other than that, I would think you just want to be mindful of not doing anything that could smash a window.

my son's is laying on the garage floor for the past 2 years. granted it's flat. but, boy, is it in the way. have considered the overhead stowing of it and will likely do that too.

My '88's top spent more than four years propped on its back end against the garage wall. When I moved I reinstalled it and kept it on a couple of years. It did not warp and it did not leak.

I don't want to prop my top on my current 4Runner due to no room in garage and I have kids now and surely one of them would ram a bike into it.
