1st-2nd "hop" 93 22re

I recently got a 93 standard cab 22re 5 speed and when shifting from 1st to 2nd the truck seems to hop forward, but from 2nd to 3rd ect it shifts just fine.
Has anyone else had a experience like this?

I haven't, but it sounds like a "serging" issue. Might check the fuel pressure regulator. Maybe it's going out. Can you provide any more details than that? Does the truck run funny in any other way?

I think I found the problem.. My rear drive line seems to have alot of play back and forward so I am thinking the rough shift from 1st to 2nd might either be from my rear diff or from my transfer case.

I have owned a toyota for about 3 days so I am very new to everything ha

Took the rear drive line out today and all the play is coming from my rear diff so looks like it's time to start searching the junk yards ha
any other suggestion on what I should do when replacing my rear diff?

I really don't know I was told it's probley my ring and pinion gear. It is about half a inch of play back and forward from the drive line.
Iv been quoted 250 for a complete rear differential from a local wrecking yard.

The play in it may not mean it's bad, just may need some tightening up. I'm no expert on diff's, but if I were you, I'd atleast check into it first (meaning, get a second opinion) before spending a lot of time and money unneccessarily. I'd even PM ZUK. The premiere, mult-dimensional, psychically inclined, hum dinger expert on diffs. Atleast, 'round here.
