1995 toyota truck project HELP!

I have acquired a 1995 Toyota Truck SR5 with a v6. THis truck is going to be completely stripped clean, going to be putting in a roll cage lift kit possibly even a 12valve cummins swap.

heres my issue, the truck had a ceased ignition and the person i bought teh project truck from decided to try to hotwire it. I now have some wires hanging off the connector plug that I would like to know what to put to where to start the truck in order to get it into the shop and begin the work!

I can provide some photos if that would be of any help!

Thanks in advance,

Cory.

Let me also state before you start giving me moral lessons and opinions. I am not stealing a truck or trying to steal a truck. This truck is in my name, it has sat in a field for the past 8 years of its life. This truck is going to be a weekend mud bogger that is all.

Spare me your life lessons and help out a fellow toyota enthusiast get some more yota at our local charity mud bog!

I would look up a wiring diagram for the ignition system, either in a Chilton manual or on the internet, that would be the quickest and probably easiest fix

I have done that much, i know which wire does what and where it goes, the iginition switch itself is so badly mangled I dont want to put it together ideally I would like install some switches and engine cut off switch. I really just need to know what wires connect together in order to start it like hotwiring with installed switches.

Thanks in advance,

Cory.
You put the truck on a trailer and tow it to the shop.

Honestly, you want to get it running so you can drive it, correct?
If you don't mind taking the time to trace down all the wires involved with the ignition switch on the truck and give us a schematic of what the previous owner did so we can re-wire it for you, please do.

Otherwise, there are wiring diagrams available on the Internet.

Not trying to be mean, rude or disrespectful but some things are much more easily solved with common sense than Internet forums.

And you hope to twist two wires together and drive it away? Well, it's might be worth a try. And a few minutes looking at the online wiring diagrams.

I have no idea from your description what you have, what's missing, what's been re-worked....

But in the abstract, you'll need 12v to IG1 and IG2, which may be black-yellow and black-red. Then 12v to STA (black) should run the starter.

Good luck!

Exactly pushed a 78 bronco in my shop just yesterday.

o

Fords are cool to. Dana 44's limited slip in the rear 429 going in. May even put a yota cab on it. Its got a sweet little 104 wheel base.
